# Capitalization of Human Potential
Is a concept defined by Malcolm Gladwell in [[The Big Man Can't Shoot]], [[Carlos Doesn't Remember]], and [[Food Fight]]). **It's a measure of a how well a society uses its human potential.**
It is closely linked to the society's educational system and the amount of its class segregation. A well formed **educational system, that ignores class segregation, will increase capitalization because lower income students won't be left behind. A poor Einstein will get a good education and realize his full potential (as opposed to a higher chance of spending his youth in jail).**
Race plays a role in this too. See [[Miss Buchanan’s Period of Adjustment]].
