# Japan Immigration and Customs

## Immigration forms
Immigration forms need to be filled in on entry with the following info
- Basic passenger info
- Flight numbers
- Permanent and destination addresses
## Imports and Cash
- You can carry-in or -out unlimited monetary funds, but any amounts greater than ¥1m (€8300) must be declared.
- The following can be imported duty free (with regulations changing on 10/1/2021):
- Three bottles of alcoholic beverages
- 400 cigarettes
- 100 cigarilos
- 500g of other tobacco
- 60ml of perfume
## Exports
- A license from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is required when exporting guns, swords, or "high-quality personal computers that require an export license."
- "Tax Free" shops exist for merchandise which will be exported. At the point of sale the merchant will affix a "Record of Purchase of Consumption-Tax-Exempt for Export" card to your passport. The card will be inspected (together with the merchandise) and removed by customs at the border.
