# Linking Your Thinking
LYT (pronounced 'light') or [Linking Your Thinking](https://www.linkingyourthinking.com) is a concept and workshop created by [[Nick Milo]] for PKM. **It recommends the use of a system that keeps your notes future-proof**, and as such recommends apps like [[Obsidian]] (for a comparison with Notion see [[Obsidian vs Notion for PKM]]).
LYT revolves around the idea of a map of content (MOC). Unlike a table of content, which is hierarchical and rigidly puts a piece of content in single a specific place, an MOC is not hierarchical, and multiple MOCs can exist for the same content.
## Benefits
- Ability to quickly recall (retrieve) information
- Order but one that allows for serendipitous discovery of related concepts
> The heart of creativity and innovation is making spontaneous connections between seemingly unrelated things. –[[Tiago Forte]]
## Resources
- The first video in the [[Obsidian]] introduction videos playlist briefly covers the concept
- The [LYT Kit](https://publish.obsidian.md/lyt-kit/_Start+Here) which can be best described as an LYT manifesto
