# Podcast Transcription Tools Note that in 2024 any podcast transcription tools are useless compared to the service [Snipd](https://www.snipd.com) provides. It combines transcriptions with highlight capturing, export into Readwise and AI summaries. Way better than doing all of that manually. I've used the following websites in the past to capture transcripts of podcasts: 1. [GetWelder](https://app.getwelder.com/) allows you to upload an mp3 file and download a txt with transcripts. Downloaded txt file does not have timestamps though. Will be replaced soon with a paid service… 2. [Simon Says](https://www.simonsays.ai) is amazing but not free. You'll need to find links to already made transcripts. 3. Using Microsoft Word Online (300 minutes free / month). Option found under the Dictate menu
